Happy Hague trip to Hague u can now be a better journalist when u present to ur fellow suspects. Pack your bags n wait……..
Joshua was the cockroach preaching guy in the Ruanda Hutu/Tutsi war. He helped galvanize the Kaleo against everyone else that owned land close to what they termed as their stronghold during the election. Joshua forgot those people also need to transact with other areas like Nairobi which are not their stronghold. In any case, the idea was so backward. Rwanda should have still been in fresh memory if history was anything to go by. Some politicians used his medium to spread malicious rumors and hate speech to see that other communities did not live in their neighbourhoods. Really the idea is based on malice, greed and inability to absorb the reality. Nyayo is out of office but still acts like he is still the president, going around campaigning for no to constitution. It is the same mentality that after Joshua has only seen one president during most of his life, cannot understand that there are other communities that could lead the country. They had been used to grabbing land whenever they wished to have larger parcel of land. These same people would come to his show in the morning and incite the local communities because there was no more land to loot with formation of new government.
Joshua’s issue was being an enabler who allowed his medium to be used to spread the hate speech. On his position, he should choose what topics to discuss and what statements to propell on his radio. After the election, he decided to go for advising his folks to remove madoa doa, which meant remove people from other communities especially the kikuyu, kisii and so on. It was not just a one time occassion but repeated occurrence. Lots of poeple quoted having heard about the war from his radio. It was the single place that one could listen to the war monger issues in collection.
Joshua good for you to rot in Hague. Hopefully they do not kill you but let you see when Kenya becomes better and communities live together in harmony. You may not see it but hear about it since you will be in vague (hague). Ili iwe funzo kwako na wengine wenye tabia kama hizo.
